TEXAS IS BURNING!
Texas is in a severe drought. Fires are breaking out all over. The temperatures have dropped some but now it is windy. It seems the rain will never come. The weather has been so very strange this year in our country. First, there was enormous amounts of snow, then vicious, powerful tornadoes, then rain and hurricanes in the Northeast, even an earthquake. As the snow melted and then all the rains came terrible floods created disaster after disaster. But, Texas remained dry. The sun beat down day after day and the temperatures rose way past the 100 mark: 108, 110 for weeks, months. Fires are breaking out all over Texas. No rain. Is the country’s next big disaster? People are evacuating. Over 300 homes burned down near Bastrop. Still, it stays dry and now it is windy.~
