Patrick is improving everyday in every way, especially with the cats. It didn’t take him long to realize that he gets thrown out of the area if he goes near the cats inappropriately.
So, it was gradual, but now he’ll just lay there and even go to sleep. I never leave him alone with them, of course. But, they are getting better with him around too.
Since they were used to dogs he didn’t bother them when he first came until he tackled them. So, they got more secure with the gated area. It’s working. This dog had no training in any way when we got him. It’s been rough. But, he aims to please and he’s bright so he learns fast. Watching his trust grow was exhilarating. Lil Al is still my ‘baby,’ and he’s laying on my chest asleep and listening to his breathing is relaxing and peaceful.
